RenOvation 2024
First place in the Commercial Buildings category
Plantonia has won the Renovation 2024 award for its energy retrofit of a commercial building. From the front to the roof, every detail reflects our passion for conscious design.
We removed 21 tiled stoves, including 11 with coal-fired furnaces and 10 with electric inserts. Instead, we introduced modern district heating and used contractons combined with an innovative air cooling system.
We installed modern mechanical ventilation with a rotary recuperator on the first floor and in the basement.
We insulated the north facade, respecting historical values. The entire modernization process was monitored by the City Historic Preservation Officer.
